Emirates will introduce its latest-generation Airbus A350 aircraft on the Dubai–Mauritius route from 1 November 2026, bringing an upgraded Business Class experience and Premium Economy cabin to the daily service. The aircraft will replace the Boeing 777 currently operating flights EK709 and EK710 between Dubai and Mauritius.
The move forms part of the airline’s continued investment in its Mauritius operations and aims to offer travellers additional comfort and onboard technology. Emirates will continue operating two other daily services to Mauritius using its Airbus A380 aircraft.
Emirates A350 to Operate Daily Between Dubai and Mauritius
From 1 November, the Airbus A350 will operate daily on the EK709 and EK710 services connecting Dubai International Airport with Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius.
The planned schedule, using local times, is as follows:
| Flight | Route | Departure | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|
| EK709 | Dubai to Mauritius | 7:55 a.m. | 2:40 p.m. |
| EK710 | Mauritius to Dubai | 6:30 p.m. | 1:10 a.m. the following day |
The aircraft change will give passengers on these flights access to Emirates’ newer cabin products. Travellers should check their booking details before departure, as aircraft assignments and schedules can change.
Three Cabin Classes With 298 Seats
The Emirates A350 planned for the route will have 298 seats across three cabin classes.
| Cabin class | Number of seats |
|---|---|
| Business Class | 32 |
| Premium Economy | 28 |
| Economy Class | 238 |
| Total | 298 |
The configuration gives passengers a choice between Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy. The introduction of the A350 also expands the range of aircraft and cabin experiences available on the Mauritius route.
Upgraded Business Class Experience
One of the main changes will be the arrival of Emirates’ latest-generation Business Class product on this service.
The cabin uses a 1-2-1 seating arrangement, allowing every passenger direct access to the aisle. The seats convert into fully flat beds, providing more flexibility for sleeping or relaxing during the flight.
Business Class features include:
- Fully flat seats upholstered in cream leather.
- Individual 20-inch 4K Ultra HD entertainment screens.
- Personal mini-bars and wireless charging.
- Multi-course dining with a selection of beverages.
- Bulgari amenity kits and comfort essentials.
- A self-service snack area at the rear of the cabin.
These features are intended to improve comfort for business travellers and leisure passengers seeking a premium experience between Mauritius and Dubai.
Premium Economy Adds Another Travel Option
The A350 will also offer 28 Premium Economy seats. This cabin sits between standard Economy and Business Class, offering additional space and upgraded service without the full cost of Business Class.
Seats are arranged in a 2-3-2 layout and measure 19.5 inches wide. They include adjustable headrests, footrests, charging points and individual 13.3-inch entertainment screens.
Passengers can also expect enhanced meal presentation, a welcome drink, selected beverages, amenity kits, priority boarding and access to a dedicated Premium Economy check-in area at Dubai International Airport.
The airline says passengers can connect through Dubai to more than 70 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Americas, with Premium Economy available on eligible onward services.
Economy Class Features and Entertainment
Economy passengers will also benefit from the A350’s onboard features.
The cabin will include adjustable leather headrests, individual 13.3-inch 4K HD touchscreens, Bluetooth connectivity and charging points for personal devices.
Passengers will have access to Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system, which offers a broad selection of films, television programmes, music and other content.
The aircraft’s three-class layout provides different comfort and service options while allowing Emirates to maintain its daily connection between Mauritius and Dubai.
Two Daily A380 Services Will Continue
The introduction of the A350 will not replace all Emirates flights to Mauritius. The airline will continue operating two additional daily services with its Airbus A380 aircraft.
These services also offer Premium Economy, expanding the choice available to passengers travelling between Mauritius and Dubai.
For travellers connecting beyond Dubai, the combination of A350 and A380 services offers access to Emirates’ wider international network. Passengers should review the aircraft and cabin details for each flight segment when booking, particularly when seeking a specific class of service.
Importance for Mauritius Tourism
Air connectivity is an important part of Mauritius’s tourism industry. Direct flights and convenient connections help visitors reach the island while supporting travel between Mauritius and international markets.
The A350 deployment adds another modern aircraft to the airline’s Mauritius operations. Its upgraded cabins may appeal to holidaymakers, business travellers and passengers connecting through Dubai.
The aircraft change also reflects the role of aviation in supporting tourism, hospitality and wider economic links between Mauritius and overseas destinations.
Emirates has served Mauritius since 2002 and continues to connect the island with destinations across its global network. The latest aircraft deployment represents a further change in the airline’s service offering on the route.
How to Book the New Emirates A350 Service
Travellers planning to experience the A350 can check flight availability and cabin options through the official Emirates website or their preferred travel agent.
Before booking, passengers should confirm:
- Whether their selected flight is scheduled to use the A350.
- Which cabin classes are available on their travel date.
- The applicable fare, baggage allowance and ticket conditions.
- Whether connecting flights beyond Dubai offer the same cabin class.
Aircraft substitutions can occur, so the A350 deployment date does not guarantee that every booking on the route will operate on that aircraft.
Final Thought
Emirates’ planned A350 introduction on the Dubai–Mauritius route from 1 November 2026 will bring its newer Business Class product, Premium Economy and updated onboard technology to flights EK709 and EK710. With two additional daily A380 services continuing, passengers will retain several options for travelling between Mauritius and Dubai. The upgrade is another development in the airline’s ongoing investment in its Mauritius network and may provide greater choice for both tourists and business travellers.
